Make WoW gold in BfA by making the most of the valuable components in Battle for Azeroth. In BfA, gathering has become more valuable than ever with Herbalism and Mining specifically being lucrative sources of WoW gold. This BfA Gold Guide focuses more on Herbalism than Mining but it you prefer to not take Enchanting or a crafting profession, then mining is a strong choice that lets you increase the amount of gold you can farm while out grinding Herbs for gold. Some dungeons are also much better than other. Some take a long time to finish and some are quick. Some have few quests and others have many. The ideal dungeons have a lot of quests and are quick to finish. If you are sent to a long dungeon that you have already completed, you can leave but you won’t be able to enter a new dungeon in 30 minutes. Dungeons like the Stockade are super quick, so it will still be good XP if you are sent here more than once.
I certainly didn’t think so as I used my Paladin for countless hours of gold-making (Paladins are one of the slowest classes in the game). But then I decided to try to make a Fury Warrior with 170% base movement speed. Boy did that make a difference, I run dungeons several times faster than the Paladin, hence making 3 or 4 times more gold per hour.
This farm very much resembles the Dire Maul farm in that it allows you to hit multiple markets without having to do too much. You can mageweave, runecloth, greens, world drops, and herbs all from this one single spot with the addition of countless transmog items. I personally love this spot – however I feel I stumbled upon it a little to late. The benefits is that this is the LARGEST instance in the entire game – literally. You can spend up to 15 minutes pulling the entire instance. You are rewarded however with an abundance of drops of all kinds. You can quickly fill up your inventory here. If you need greens form the 47-51 area, this is your spot. As mentioned, you will also get soo many trade goods that it's hard not to fill even the biggest of bags.
Unfortunately, Brady has not published any updates on their much-vaunted site. They did mention a cool "binder" that contains updates and unfortunately I purchased it. It's an empty binder with neat Warcraft photos on it. Cute, but hardly worth ten bucks. My E-mailed requests for information on how to get the updates (if there are any and I just missed them) have gone unanswered.
This tutorial will ensure that the beginning of your journey will be a smooth one. It provides information that will help you find your way when you get lost, as well as tips that will offer guidance and advice as you march on towards greatness. It is not an exhaustive guide, however; it neither can nor wants to unveil every secret of Azeroth to you. That glorious task is left up to you as you explore the world yourself. Think of this guide as a touchstone for your early adventures: enough to get started, but too little to spoil any of the awesome surprises that await you in Azeroth.
This book fails to delve into any significant gameplay strategy, like a walkthrough of an instance dungeon or few -- all of which start well after the short (and mired in fluffy content) introduction walkthrough is long over with. Really, they give you strategy to help with the part of the game where there's nothing to screw up? They've got a bonus binder option for added cost to cover this gaping issue, but it's only got one such suppliment thus far which came out in March with a promise of more content faster. Seeing as how it's now July, I'm not springing to give more money to these folks.
This is a large, thick, colorful, attractive book, with a huge wealth of information, that is well organized for quick reference. Unfortunately, it doensn't have an index in the back. There are lots of maps and detailed descriptions of all nine classes (warrior, mage, etc.) and their abilities. On the map of each area are numbers, and after the map a list of what kind of monsters or people are at each location. There is also a list of all the quests after each map. With this book you will always know what areas are about your level and how to get to them.
Members Area: My members area will launch one week before Classic WoW launches. At this time I am unsure of how much content will be in it. I suspect it will be about the same price of a Twitch sub (of only about $5 a month or so). The members area will support the ongoing efforts to improving my leveling guides over time. There is a lot more content planned for the future, including remastered TBC leveling guides (even if Blizzard does not launch Classic TBC). And remastered WOTLK leveling guides. I plan to continue to make leveling guides for WoW full time for many years to come!
Swim Speed Potions (used especially at lvl 37 for Faldir's Cove in Arathi Highlands and lvl 57 in WPL). Try to get multiple stacks of these. I also recommend keeping a stack of these always in your bags. You will frequently pass rivers and lakes and can use these potions to pass them faster through out the guide. Please note that these potions do not stack with Druid's Aquatic Form and Glyph of Aquatic Form.
This was a farming spot that I made vastly popular on YouTube sometime last year. It is my FAVORITE farming spot of that era, simply becuase it was an old world farming spot that allowed you to hit almost 3 different markets. With this spot you can get cloths: Felcloth, runecloth, and mageweave. Herbs: Goldthorn, ghost mushroom, goldclover, and fadeleaf. World drops: rich purple shirt. AND a plethora of transmog from a single run. I literally had some pulls where I came out with 17,000g in item value for 10 minutes of farming. It was insane – actually it still is. Anyway If you have a druid or monk, then this is an awesome farm to hit ESPECIALLY if you are on a high populated server. Generally just pull the entire instance, and circle it back around the front. Mega gold to be made here.
This spot actually kicks BOOTAY. And I only say that because it's so hidden, unique and quirky that I had to add it to this list, despite it being a method rather than a farm. Generally what you want to do is some sneaky arbitrage. We'll be buying the items Royal olive, Dalapeno Pepper, River onion, and Muskenbutter from the vendor for 2g – and reselling them to the AH for 4g+. This is an awesome way to take advantage of players laziness and the demanding reagent requirements for some of the higher end recipes. By selling from the vendor to AH, you can make easy gold – in fact I suspect most cooks do not know these reagents can be purchased from NPC's.
The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped. My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch. As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet). There is also a lot of route changes. I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone. There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands. This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.
You can earn a decent amount of XP by doing Herbalism or mining. Any zone works but I prefer Sholazar Basin as a lot of the mobs are not aggressive and the mobs are spread out so you will find a lot of herbs and ore that you don’t have to fight for. It is possible to make about a level every hour by doing this, or a level every 30-40 minutes with rest XP.
War Mode: War Mode can be turned on at level 30 through your talent window, and will give you 10% bonus XP. You will, however, be attackable by players of the opposing faction, but changes have been made so that all players have a fair shot in a fight and even low-level players can kill much higher level players, and at least not get ganked and one shotted. Note: As of patch 8.1, you can get an additional call to arms bonus with war mode on if your faction is underepresented.
